Two singers from Mizoram arrive Hakha, the capital of Chin state on 3 October to join Chin Evangelical Fellowship (CEF) crusade.
A CEF official told Khonumthung, “I am very happy that they could join us. They are the first singers from Mizoram and the people very grateful to them. About six thousands people always participate in the crusade and all like to hear their singing.”
The crusade has reportedly begun from the 3 October and will last till the 10th of this month. The duo singers will continue their musical crusade till then 10 October and leave for Mizoram. Miss Liandingpuii and Nunui are the gospel singers who are currently participating the gospel crusade in Hakha; P.C. Biaksiama is the main speaker in the crusade.
The program for this crusade had been prepared for the past three months. The Crusade team reaches Rangoon on the 22 September. They were warmly received by the people of Chin state residing in Rangoon and had the first interaction with the people in the Biblical School of Theology (BST); the Chin Christian youths took the team on a tour of Rangoon the nest day.
A combine service was organized at English Methodist Church on 24 September where PC Biaksiama preached. Other services were conducted in Church on the Rock, River of Life Baptist Church and English Methodist Church the next day consequently.
The crusade team reportedly left for Chin state via Mandalay on the 26th. Aizawl local paper report that a prayer was organized for the success of the crusade team, in Aizawl, as even the entry of Bible is restricted in Chin state; the proposed crusade might be hindered.
An elder in Hakha comment, “As gospel singers from Chin state and Mizoram state participate in this crusade, majority of the people were happy with it. I have never known any crusade who gather people as much as this.”
The two singers from Mizoram sang songs of praise and worship in every service. They could join this crusade as permission had been reportedly obtained from the SPDC and no hindrances are being reported. Source: Khonumthung News
